I ran into Monshea at a โ€˜Black Women in Beautyโ€™ event a long long time ago. I have been using their hair oil ever since.

Monsheaโ„ข Hair Oil is a natural rich moisturising oil specially formulated with innovative ingredients to help transform and soften your colour treated hair , thick or curly hair to softer, manageable hair that glistens.

This hand made product made with moisturising Shea oil and served with a generous quantity of Argan oil, is very rich and absorbent replacing moisture that is lost due to colour treatment or straightening / blow drying..
Monshea hair oil is very versatile. You can also use as part of your conditioning process When applied to your damp hair on top of your conditioner.. Leave for 10 minutes and rinse. Monsheaโ„ข hair oil acts as a sealant locking in the moisture. It helps to de-tangle your hair and gives it instant softness and shine.

Anyone else’s hair not playing ball at the moment, or is it just mine? I am not sure if it is stress, change in weather or more time being spent indoors. But I have been experiencingย dryness, minor breakage around my edges and the motivation to detangle and moisturise daily is literally evaporating…. Slowly but surely.

๐Ÿ’šThis is where the Monshea Hair oil comes in (12.99 for 125ml or ยฃ14.99 for 220ml)๐Ÿ’š

I’ve been using this to seal in moisture after wetting, detangling, applying a leave in conditioner and then styling. This is the last step in my curly girl routine.

Thoughts :

๐Ÿ’šIt smells AMAZING
๐Ÿ’›
๐Ÿ’šReduces frizz
๐Ÿ’›
๐Ÿ’šPromotes shine
๐Ÿ’›
๐Ÿ’šIt is very thick in texture
๐Ÿ’›
๐Ÿ’šWhen warmed up in the fingertips, it transforms into more of an oil
๐Ÿ’›
๐Ÿ’šIt seals moisture well
๐Ÿ’›
๐Ÿ’šI don’t need to reapply anything to my hair until the next day (after sleeping on them, my curls flatten out and need water in some form
๐Ÿ’›
๐Ÿ’šGreat for humidity, trialled and tested in Florida (in July) and Barbados (in August)
๐Ÿ’›
๐Ÿ’šA little goes a long way

โœ–๏ธยฃ12.99 could be considered a little pricey. BUT what you put on your hair is important if you’re looking to retain moisture WITHOUT build up which forces you to wash your hair more often. I personally feel that this is WELL worth it. The ingredients speak for themselves to be honest. (And the lack of silicone, mineral oil and cheap fillers)

โœ–๏ธDon’t forget that this is a sealant, to seal in moisture, this should not be used on dry hair.

How is your quarantine hair holding up?

What hair sealants do you use?
